Kevin didn’t want to get up that morning, which wasn’t uncommon. He lacked the ability to wake up on time that most people seemed to possess. It boggled his mind. How could anyone possibly make any attempt to wake up before the sun rises? But, much to his regret now, Kevin made an agreement, and so he begrudgingly pulled himself out of bed. He took a long moment to reorient himself, checking the position of his dark wooden dresser and mirror mounted above, right across from his bed.
Of course, he had to take an even longer moment to realize that the lights were still out. Kevin felt along the walls of his bedroom, before finding the panel that controlled the large rune-lamp on the ceiling. He calmly pressed the upper half of the panel, causing the small light energy rune to hum to life, activating the lamp.
