Nina sat back against a tree and sighed. This day had not gone well at all. It all started with her stumbling into the dark grass…

---

Nina took a few frightened steps back. This pokemon shouldn't be here… It should be in pinwheel forest! The Sawk looked at her angrily. It almost seemed… scared. Like it was lost, and was just trying to find the way home… However, when it nearly killed Rex with Brick Break, any semblance of sympathy was quickly replaced with fear. She tried to run, but the Sawk blocked her path. Seeing no other choice, Nina sent out Mimi. A Low Sweep nearly killed her. Jojo, a Double Kick. Laila, Karate Chop. Nina was down to only Jordan and Zach. Trembling, Nina sent Jordan into battle. Another Low Sweep, and Jordan dodged. Nina wasn't going to let the Throh incident happen again. Jordan struck the Sawk with Flame Charge. The Sawk returned with yet another Low Sweep. This time, Jordan couldn't dodge, but he survived. The Sawk was on it's last legs too. So, with one last Flame Charge, Jordan ended the battle and K.O.ed the rouge Sawk. However, even with the battle won, Nina wasn't out of the woods yet. Looking at her team, nearly all of which were near death, she rushed into Nimbasa, towards the Pokemon Center.

---

Nina sighed again. It was a miracle that none of them died. However, their wounds were so bad that they would have to take an extended stay at the Center. Nina was told to pick them up in a few hours. As she sat and thought underneath the tree, Zach cautiously approached her.
"Nina?" Zach asked cautiously. "Are… Are you ok?"
Nina turned and gave Zach a small smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. But that Sawk was just ruthless…"
"Yeah, Laila and the others looked pretty bad when you left them at the Pokemon Center…" Zach looked down at his feet, a concerned look spreading over his face.
Nina just sat back, and closed her eyes. It wasn't long before she fell asleep.

---

"…na! Nina!"
Nina groggily opened her eyes. She was still propped up against a tree, but she was in an entirely different location now. Instead of a tree beside the entrance to Nimbasa, she was in the middle of a forest. She immediately tried to spring into a full upright sitting position, but her head collided with something as she tried to sit up.
"Owwwww… Nina…" It sounded like what she had hit was Zach, but she was still a bit dazed from the collision. "Well, at least I know you're alright now, Nina..."
As Nina got her bearings, she looked towards her side, where she heard Zach's voice coming from. However, instead of seeing Zach, as she expected, she saw a person there. The boy she saw was sitting cross-legged next to her. He had blue hair which came up in a sort of spike at the back and was wearing a light blue tank top and baggy shorts of the same color. He was also wearing some sort of toe-less black shoes, and had a dark blue hoodie tied around his waist with… SCALCHOPS sticking out of the two pockets?!
Nina shot up into a fully upright position, this time without the concussive impact.  "Zach?! Is that you?!"
The boy tilted his head to the side, looking confused. "Yeah, it's me. Is there something wrong Nina?"
"Something wro-?! You're human, Zach!"
Zach looked at himself for what Nina assumed was the first time since… Whatever this was happened. "Wow, Nina! You're right! This is so cool!"
"Cool?! This shouldn't even be possible Zach!"
"Well, it happened, didn't it?"
"I suppose it did…"
"Then it's possible!" Zach replied with an overly goofy grin.
"Nice to know that you haven't changed much on the inside…" Nina mumbled, a grin forming on her face. "So, you have any idea what happened or where we are?"
Zach scratched his head and thought for a moment, then shrugged. "I dunno, I was just sitting with you, when all of a sudden there was this flash of light, and then we were here."
"Well then," Nina said as she stood up. "I suppose we should try and find out where we are. Maybe then we can find a way back to Nimbasa."

---

Colin leaned on his spear as he stood guard outside the Spiral Tower. Most people wouldn't last three minutes with the spear, considering it was made of pure Nevermelting Ice. He didn't mind it, though. Being an Ice Wizard had its perks. However, guard duty wasn't one of them.
"Ugh, come on…" Colin mumbled to himself. "Why doesn't Seth ever give me something exciting to do? Every day, 'Colin, you're on guard duty.' It's not like anything ever happens here…"
However, just as he said that, he noticed some rustling in the woods near the tower.
"Speak of the devil…" Colin mumbled irritably. He picked up his spear and dashed over to where he heard the rustling. He pulled back a tree branch, prepared to encounter a member of Organization XIII, one of Morganthe's many minions, or even Dustin. What he did not expect, however, was a teenage boy and girl, who appeared to be searching for something. Unfortunately, that was just what he found.
"Oh, um, I… Hi!" Colin said nervously. He saw the boy had taken a defensive stance in front of the girl, and was confused as to why, until he realized he was still holding his spear. It took all of his self control to resist facepalming. He was just about to put the spear away, when the boy pulled something out of his pockets and lunged.
"WHOA!" Colin instinctively swung his spear to block the oncoming attack. He had a few seconds to observe the boy's weapons before he drew back. "Shells, eh? Well, that's new…"
The boy simply dashed at him again, this time managing to rip through his cloak and scratch his arm. "Ow! Ok, sharp shells. That's REALLY new." Colin noticed the boy dashing at him once again. "Ohoho, not this time, buddy boy!" Colin created a wall of ice directly in front of the boy's path, and only took it down after he heard the satisfying 'THUD' of the impact. "Not so tough now, are you?" That was as far as his gloating went, however, as the girl jumped and kicked him in the face*, effectively knocking him out.

---

As soon as she made sure the psycho with the spear was knocked out, Nina rushed over to help Zach get up.
"Ow… that hurt…" Zach groaned Nina pulled him up. "I can't really fight as well like this, sorry Nina…"
"It's alright Zach," Nina chuckled. "Look at it this way: You distracted him long enough for me to knock him out!"
"You did?" Zach looked over at the unconscious boy in the white cloak. "Can I kick him? Please?"
"No, I think we'd better go, I doubt he's the only one who lives in that tower over there…" Nina stated as she pointed to a large stone tower right next to where Zach and the boy had fought.
"Um, right, good call, Nina." Zach said, becoming nervous.
Unfortunately for them, Nina was right, and just then, another figure, also wearing a white cloak, walked out of the tower. "Darn it, Colin!" The figure shouted. "What's all... the… commotion… Oh…" The boy stopped talking as his eyes fell on Zach and Nina. "I suppose you two had something to do with it, huh?"
Zach simply readied his scalchops, as Nina prepared to kick this guy in the face too.
"Whoa, whoa, easy there! I don't want a fight if it isn't necessary!" The boy held his hands up to prove that he wasn't holding any weapons. "So, from your quick (and hostile) reaction to my presence, I'm gonna have to assume that Colin," He gestured to the boy on the ground, who was still completely unconscious. "Approached you two with his spear. Is that correct?"
Zach took a step forward and put his scalchops in his pockets. "Yeah, it is."
Unlike Colin, this boy seemed to be unable to resist the urge to facepalm, and did so, promptly. "I TOLD him to remember not to take out his spear until he was certain that there was a hostile… I'm so terribly sorry, Colin can be a bit… Thick-headed sometimes. No, wait, scratch that, ALL the time. So, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Seth Sandmender, head of Organization VII, and Master of Balance magic. Is there anything I can do for you?"
Nina took a step forward now. "Wait, are you saying you're a wizard?"
"Yes…" Seth said, massaging his temples. "Why does that always have to be so hard for everyone to believe…"
"Oh, I'm sorry if I offended you…"
"Oh, no, it's nothing!" Seth quickly replied. "It's perfectly understandable for people to be skeptical at first. However, I think it's safe to assume that Colin here gave you some proof of our magic. Am I correct?"
"Well, he did summon a wall of ice…"
"Really? I would've thought he'd use a more advanced technique than that at his level… Oh well. Back to the subject at hand, is there anything, and I mean ANYTHING, that I can do for you two to make up for Colin's mishap?"
Nina didn't have to think twice before answering. "Can you take us back to Nimbasa city?"
Seth looked thoroughly confused. "Um… I don't think there is a Nimbasa city… At least, not HERE."
"Here? What do you mean, here?" Nina was starting to grow concerned.
Seth sighed. "By here, I mean not in this universe. I know a few things about alternate universes, and one of the things I know is that occasionally, a rip will form in the fabrics of two universes at once, becoming a portal of sorts. They're usually only good for a one way trip, as they close pretty quickly unless they are stabilized and controlled."
"So you mean we're stuck here?!"
"I didn't say that…"
"Then how do we get back?!"
"I'm getting to it!" Seth was visibly annoyed now. "I can create a small tear in the fabric of this universe and your universe, if I can get a trace on your universe. Excuse me, could your friend come over here for a second?"
"Hm? You mean Zach?" Nina asked cautiously.
"No, I mean Bobo the invisible rabbit." Seth stated sarcastically. "Of course I mean him. I can tell that he isn't human. At least, not naturally."
"How did you-"
"Simple. Most universes have a defining characteristic, which cannot exist in another universe. I can tell that the fabric of this universe is bending around your friend here to give him a human form. The bending of reality is giving me a headache, actually. So, if I can get a trace on what type of creature he actually is, I can trace that characteristic back to your universe."
Zach turned to face Nina. "It's alright, Nina. I don't think he'll hurt me."
"I heard that!"
"Ok Zach. Let's go home." Nina said, giving Zach's hand a squeeze.

---

Seth stood next to a sleeping Zach as he wove various tracing wards around him. He was finding it rather easy to get a trace on Zach's original species. It must have been a really far stretch from human if it was this easy to trace. "Hey, what's your name again?" Seth asked the girl standing by, watching the process.
"Hm? Oh, it's Nina."
"Nina, huh? Well, Nina, would you mind telling me what sort of creature Zach is normally?"
"Well, Zach is a pokemon called a Dewott in my world."
"Interesting... So, are these 'pokemon' a lot like animals?"
"Well, I suppose so…"
"That explains it. The farther a creature is from the dominant species of another universe, the weaker the fabric coating it over is. I should manage to get a trace on your universe right about… now!" Just as Seth said those words, a large, white vortex appeared in front of Nina. "Hurry and get through! I can only keep this portal open for so long!"
Nina nodded as she grabbed Zach and ran through the portal. Seth sighed as he let the portal close.
"Now… what to do with sleeping beauty here.." Seth mumbled as he looked at Colin.

---

As soon as Nina stepped out of the portal, it closed as quickly as it had opened. She then looked down and saw Zach was still sleeping in her arms, but he was back in his Dewott form. Nina checked her watch, and noticed that it was time to pick up the rest of her team. She smiled to herself and said to no one in particular,
"Time sure flies when you deal with magic…"

*Insert "Nina used Hi Jump Kick!" here.
I wanted to make some sort of fan art for :iconky-nim: because she is AMAZING, but I can't draw. So, with her permission, I wrote this short little crossover fanfic with my Wizard Chronicles and her Pokemon White nuzlocke, Myths of Unova.

EDIT (Like, 2 minutes after posting): WHY DO I ALWAYS NOTICE TYPOS AND CONTINUITY ERRORS AFTER I POST SOMETHING?! Anger vent over. Thank you.

EDIT: I commissioned :iconky-nim: to draw a picture for this fic. It can be found here: [link] It is amazing, and I am very grateful to her for drawing it.

I already did the disclaimer in the story itself soooo...
Seth Sandmender and Colin Dragongrove belong to meeeeee :D
Pokemon and Nimbasa and stuff belong to... Is it Nintendo or Game Freak? I dunno...
